Boyanka Hristeva joined the Foundation in January 2020 as an intern. She has a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Law from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”.
In the winter semester of 2018/2019 academic year she took part in the Erasmus exchange program at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania. She completed there courses in refugee law, legal protection of human rights and international humanitarian law, which gave her an incentive to develop herself professionally in the sphere of human rights.
In 2020, she participated in the regional and final rounds of the 8th edition of the European Human Rights Moot Court Competition (EHRMCC) as a member of the Sofia University team, which was awarded the prizes for the best written submission both for Applicant and for Respondent.
In February 2021 she completed FAR’s training in refugee and migration law under the DEFEND project. In the following year she participated as a mentor in FAR’s training under the project "Sofia - Capital of Law: informal training programme for the development of young advocates in refugee and migration law".
She is a member of the International Law Competitions Association and an alumni member of the European Law Students Association in Bulgaria (ELSA).
