Boyanka Hristeva joined the Foundation in January 2020 as an intern. She has a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ” and she is currently completing her studies in Law at the same university.
In the winter semester of 2018/2019 academic year she took part in the Erasmus exchange program at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania. She completed there courses in refugee law, legal protection of human rights and international humanitarian law, which gave her an incentive to develop herself professionally in the sphere of human rights.
In February 2021 she completed FAR’s training in refugee and migration law under the DEFEND project. At present, she is a legal assistant at the Foundation as part of the project "Effective legal aid for refugees and migrants in Bulgaria - continued".
She is an alumni member of the European Law Students Association in Bulgaria (ELSA). She is also a member of the Sofia University Human Rights Team for 2020 in the European Human Rights Moot Court Competition (EHRMCC).
