Kalina Slavova joined FAR’s team in December of 2021 as a legal assistant through the program “Effective legal assistance for refugees and migrants in Bulgaria - continuation”, financed by Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria. She is currently a third-year Law student at Sofia University.
She has been a volunteer at the Bulgarian Red Cross - Youth since 2016, where her interest in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law had formed. She is an alumni of FAR’s project “ActionR: Informal training programme to develop young advocates in Refugee and Migrant Law”, working on the topic of qualification for international protection and, more specifically, on the role of interpreters and written statements of NGOs in the process of granting international protection. She is a researcher for the COMP4SEE project and a translator for the KIDS4ALLL project.
She is a part of the organizational team of the Student Club for Public International Law at Sofia University since 2020. She is currently the Club Coordinator of the Students’ BRCY Club at Sofia University.
