Foundation for accessto rights – FAR is looking for a digital community liaison officer to join its team.
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent written and spoken proficiency in Farsi;
- Excellent written and spoken proficiency in Bulgarian or English;
- Experience in interpretation and translation from/into Farsi;
- Active use and understanding of how various social media and online communication channels function and readiness to create online content/publications/videos is an advantage;
- Previous experience in direct communication with asylum seekers, refugees, immigrants and stateless persons is an advantage;
- Skills to reach out to Farsi-speaking communities;
- Previous experience working with vulnerable groups is an advantage;
- Excellent communication skills and skills to engage the Farsi community online;
- Knowledge and active use of social networks and ability to digitally engage the Farsi-speaking community and moderate community groups on social networks;
- Initiative and ability to work independently;
- High emotional intelligence;
- Respect for human rights, professional boundaries and ethics;
- Willingness to work in a multicultural environment;
- Precision and broad-mindedness, teamwork skills and the ability to coordinate and support the work of other team members;
- Analytical thinking, meeting deadlines and accountability;
- Excellent office software skills such as Microsoft Office, Google forms as well as online communication platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet etc.);
- Skills to work with Canva.
Responsibilities
- Conducting two-way communication with the Farsi-speaking community through LiveChat option on Refugeelight.bg, through applications such as WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, Messenger, etc.;
- Reaching out online to refugee and migrant Farsi-speaking communities by disseminating credible information across the social media channels moderated by FAR (on Facebook and Telegram);
- Providing information on job opportunities available in FAR's employment platform in Farsi as well as information on available courses on skills building, digital literacy, entrepreneurship and other employment services available on the service map on Refugeelight.bg;
- Refering beneficiaries to relevant service providers, available on Refugeelight.bg when additional needs are identified (e.g. translation of documents, recognition of qualifications, need for work, lawyer, etc.).;
- Reaching out to community leaders of the Farsi speaking refugee community and potential employers from refugee and migrant communities, who can be included in FAR's Refugee Employment platform;
- Providing written and oral translation from and in Farsi during online legal consultations on requests received through Refugeelight.bg's Request Assitance form, as well as aiding lawyers in contacting beneficiaries and arranging a meeting;
- Carrying out of information sessions in Farsi;
- Translating RefugeeLight.bg's content in Farsi;
- Collecting and analyzing the inquiries by beneficiers relevant to the creation of new content on RefugeeLight.bg;
- Continuously monitoring and familiarizing oneself with the information available on the information platforms of FAR;
- Proactively offering relevant content to be shared with the Farsi community.
- Working closely in coordination with FAR's head and team members;
- Regular reporting on the activities.
