Luisa Sushila Roemer started her traineeship at FAR in April 2023 through the international traineeship program of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA).
Luisa is in the midst of her bachelor's studies of law and political science at the University of Muenster in Germany. She focuses on international and European law and politics with a keen interest in refugee and migration law. Through several international law schools and a research project at the Columbia University in New York in the context of refugee law, she had the opportunity to delve deeper into the topic.
As part of her role as Commissioner for „(In-)Justice, Power and Law“ of the General Student’s Committee, she organizes and facilitates educational events and networking meetings on socio-political issues from a legal perspective, aiming to address inequalities and discrimination in, through and despite the law.
At FAR, Luisa assists in researching and writing articles for the migrantlife.bg website, as well as outreach and information distribution through social media content production."
