Magdalena Miteva became part of the Management Board of FAR in the summer of 2019.

She joined the Foundation in November 2015 as a volunteering intern, which is when her love for human rights, refugee and immigration law was born. In the years after, she was the youth coordinator of the PROMISE Refugee group and one of the authors who published articles on www.migrantlife.bg. Magdalena takes part in numerous projects of FAR. Currently, she is an assistant in the Legal Aid for Stateless Persons in Bulgaria project, financed by UNHCR and executed by FAR and a legal expert in the project Effective Legal Aid to Refugees and Migrants in Bulgaria funded by the Active Citizens Fund. 

In 2018, she interned at the Pardons Committee of the Bulgarian Presidency. In November 2018, she graduated with her Master's degree in Law from the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. 

In September 2019, Magdalena took part in a summer school on the topic of Human Rights in Theory and Practice, organized by the Department of Law in the Leipzig University, Germany. In October 2020 she finished the Advanced ELENA Course: Asylum in Europe: ensuring protection and fundamental rights compliance of the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE).

In May 2020, Magdalena joined the Sofia Bar Association as a junior lawyer. 

She is an alumna member of the European Law Students Association (ELSA) in Bulgaria.
