The access to the social assistance system for persons with temporary and international protection is becoming an increasingly relevant topic, directly related to their socio-economic integration in Bulgaria.
On this occasion, on December 13, FAR, together with UNHCR Bulgaria, organized a half-day training for social workers, in which non-governmental organizations working daily in the field, as well as state institutions such as the Social Assistance Agency, the State Agency for Child Protection took part and the Agency for People with Disabilities.
Within the training, we exchanged not only knowledge and valuable practical experience, but also offered effective solutions to facilitate the access of persons with temporary and international protection to social and family benefits.
It is important to take into account the specific situation of people who cannot benefit from the protection of their countries of origin for various reasons and to help the most vulnerable.
