Kalina Slavova joined FAR’s team in December of 2021 as a legal assistant through the program “Effective legal assistance for refugees and migrants in Bulgaria - continuation” financed by Activ Citizens Fund Bulgaria. She is currently a second-year law student at Sofia University.
She has been a volunteer at the Bulgarian Red Cross - Youth since 2016, where her interest in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law had formed. She is a participant in FAR’s project “ActionR: Informal training programme to develop young advocates in Refugee and Migrant Law”, working on the topic of qualification for international protection and more specifically on the role of interpreters and written statements of NGOs in the process of granting international protection.
She is a part of the organisational team of the Student Club for Public International Law at Sofia University since 2020. She is also a member of this year’s Sofia University team for the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition.
